Civil Forensic Services
Some of our most common Civil Forensic Services include:
- Fitness for Duty Evaluations for police officers, nurses, public servants, high-stress employment positions, or executives
- Independent Medical Examination (IME) for psychological injury including post traumatic stress disorder
- Evaluations of Civil Competencies, such as the capacities to:
- Execute a will
- Make treatment decisions
- Proceed as a plaintiff in a lawsuit
- Testify
- Expert Testimony Services - Expert witness services as either, a) an evaluating and testifying expert or as, b) a non-evaluating, pure educational expert. An educational expert does not evaluate anyone, but instead provides educational testimony to the triers of fact who may then use the testimony in their decision-making.
- Determinations of malpractice for psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professional who may breach confidentiality, engage in conflict of interest behaviors, fail to administer informed consent, or fail to meet the standard of care for mental health professionals.
- Civil Commitment & Dangerousness Evaluations also have applications in civil law. For example, these assessments may be used to determine if individuals present an imminent danger to themselves or others, and, if so; are they in need of a civil commitment.
